PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT PROGRAM

The district’s Volunteer Program (VIPS) is designed to promote parent partnership and encourage communication with parents in becoming equal partners with schools and their children’s education. The volunteer program uses the VIPS (Volunteers In Public Schools) Handbook to facilitate the campus program. Volunteers must fill out a campus-level application provided in the handbook. In addition, they must undergo a Criminal Background Check, facilitated by our ECISD Police Department, and a T.B. Skin Test clearance. These requirements are in an effort to ensure the safety of children, both of a personal and health-related nature.

FEDERAL REPORT CARDS INFORMATION

Dear Parent:
Edinburg CISD is sharing this information about the district and your child’s campus with you as part of its obligations under the federal Every Student Succeeds Act of 2015 (ESSA).
Federal Report Cards for the state, the district, and each of the district’s campuses are now available on the district’s website at this link: https://www.ecisd.us/apps/pages/assessment/accountability or are also available on the Texas Education Agency’s website at: https://tea.texas.gov/texas-schools/accountability/academic-accountability/performance-reporting/federal-report-cards.

 
School Uniforms:  School Board Approved Uniform Attire for all grade levels.
     Tops:  Navy Blue, Gold (Yellow), and White
          A.  Style of Shirt:  Polo-style shirt and blouses
          B.  Shirts must be solid in color and should not have any brand name, decal or embroidery.
          C.  Any shirt sold or provided by the school will be permitted on designated day.
     Bottoms:  Navy Blue and Khaki
          A. Full length pants and walking shorts of appropriate length and size (no more that 2 sizes larger) and must be worn at the waist line.
          B. Shorts, Skirts of appropriate length and size (no more than 2 sizes larger) and must be worn at the wast line. 
              They must be worn at or one inch above the knee.  NO EXCEPTIONS.
     *Uniforms may be purchased through major retail stores.
